Hi, I'm Daniel

I’m a freelance illustrator and a graduate of Northbrook College, where I achieved a BA (Hons) degree in Illustration.
I’ve had a passion for drawing from a young age, particularly when it comes to capturing people and animals. I originally studied Fine Art and Design before discovering illustration after college, and I haven’t looked back since.
Coloured pencils have always been a huge inspiration to me. My fascination with the medium began when I watched Raymond Briggs’ The Snowman for the first time as a little boy. I remember being drawn to the beautiful textures and atmosphere created by the illustrations, and that love for the medium has stayed with me ever since. I love experimenting with coloured pencils to create different moods, whether that’s a warm, nostalgic feeling or something colder and more emotional. I’m always discovering new ways to use the medium and bring my illustrations to life.
Looking back, I’ve always found myself creating weird and wonderful characters and imagining stories around them. Whether I was drawing for fun or developing ideas into larger projects, storytelling has always been at the heart of what I enjoy about creating. This is what ultimately drew me towards illustration and makes it feel like the perfect fit for me.
